First step toward being known as a runner :)

So back in March...? I am not really sure when, Shayla and I decided we were gonna run a half marathon. I would strongly recommend training with someone, even if they are a couple hundred miles away! :) On August 6th, Little grandma, Jewls, and I set off for Provo. Once we got there, we had a great barbeque and then began the running disaster :) We were supposed to pick up our bibs the night before the race so we didn't have to be there at 4 to get checked in. Everything was so unorganized but we finially figured it out. That night I think both Shay and I went to bed around midnight. We had to be on the bed by 4:45 so I woke up at 4 and headed to pick up Shay. We loaded on to busses where we were taken to somewhere in Provo Canyon. On our way up, we sat infront of this tool. I mean literally by far the biggest one. EVER. He didn't shut up the whole time and was totally full of himself. We laughed so hard cuz he was hitting on the girl he was sitting with and.... she made a comment about her husband right before we got off the bus. We headed out to use the port-a-potties with 2000 of our closest friends! We saw a deet that walked right up to all of the people. We had to wait til about 7:11 to take off...

I am not sure Shay's stats cuz I can't find the link again :( Sorry Shay but at least you are all smiles crossing the line without your hubby being there!
