First week in Kingsville

The last week has been interesting to say the least!!! These are some pics from the beach last weekend. Today I am going to pick up the other girl engineer and we are headed to Mustang beach or Port Aranas to ride jet skis in the Gulf!! Hopefully it works out. Other than that the week was spent sweating my butt off. I forget what humidity is like and I am learning what it is like to be in the humidity all day with coveralls on..... I now love water and drink about 10 bottles a day :) This next week we will be doing safety training... Monday through Sunday! So we are taking advantage of our last weekend off. After the safety training we will be catching jobs and who knows how much we will be home.
Little funny side notes... I went to FHE and we played do you love your neighbor... Some little girl said I love people with "colored" eyes. Yep I stick out even with dark green eyes. I am definitely a minority. It is crazy that I was the only white girl in the Zumba class that I went to and that was a site in itself. I thought I could somewhat shake it but ddddaaannnggg the latinos know how to!!! We will see if I attend the class again :/
So I live with a little "family"... I stopped by the nail place yesterday and was talking to some girl. I told her where I live and she said she wouldn't live there and she grew up here!!! The missionaries said that I will be just find I just have to be safe with whatever I do. I am slowly meeting people and that helps a lot! All the guys in the Baker yard are very protective of there girl engineers for sure!! Hope everyone has a great week :)
