"Happy Feet"

I told mom I would have to blog right after so I could remember to post all of her funny comments....
They started Saturday night "My feet are ready to run!"-Mom
Morning of the race.... "I don't want to eat or drink anything before because I don't want to have to go to the bathroom during."
We were off! At about 5 a person approached us (the marathon went for 6.5 miles and then you turned around and ran it back) and mom says "Look there is the first girl!" Good thing he wasn't close cuz it was a guy.... We had to make a pit stop at about mile 6. Mile 7 a lady says "I am dying!" Mom says "We are all dying!" Lady- "But you aren't dying last:)"
There were a bunch of bikes on the same path. Mom said something about "those stupid bikers" with one riding right next to her! hehe It was fun to run with people for awhile and there was a guy that we ran with for a good 4 miles and then another lady for about 6. It was also her first half. She said that she was running behind little grandma and said she liked her calves :) Hahhaha Mom and I had already talked about this ladies calves because they were about the size of my thighs!!! The whole time mom kept telling me to run ahead. Well we were on mile 12 when she said "I am not gonna lie, if you wouldn't have stayed with me I wouldn't have been able to run the whole thing!!" So with a time of 2 hours and 34 minutes we crossed the finish line!!!! If you want to know the comment of the race, you will have to call Little Grandma to hear what dad said :)
After it was all said and done... We enjoyed a smashburger and a diet coke:)
And yes.... Little Grandma is addicted and said she is ready to sign up for her next half marathon. Boom :)

All smiles before the 13.1 (I told mom later I loved her to the moon and back. Her reply... I love you to the moon and back 13.1 times. Tricky!!
