Dad's Birthday

I didn't have time to post anything for dad's birthday so.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD! And I only have pictures of the back of your head. I will just give everyone who wasn't here a recap of the weekend.

Saturday night we had an amzing meal cooked by little g-ma followed with a German Chocolate birthday cake as anyone could have guessed. We decided to call it a night fairly early. Mom and I tried to watch what we bought for dad (the movie 21) but didn't make it very far before we were alseep. On Sunday, we headed out about 8 for Laramie to find me a place to live for the next 9-10 months. About 40 miles out of Gillette, mom looks in the rearview mirror and she says "I am getting pulled over." The cop walks up to the window and mom is handing him stuff really fast, not even trying to get out of the ticket. He asks why he pulled her over and her reply was, "I was passing those 2 cars" (Keep in mind that we are on a 2 lane highway). The cop then says "Ma'am, you were speeding before you passed the two cars, and there was no reason to pass those 2 cars because they were going 65 and after you passed those 2 cars, (I quote word for word) you continued to haul @$$!" Anyway, so he just gave her a verbal warning and off we went. The whole way, dad sat in the back and read the newspaper and played with his new GPS that he loves! In Laramie, mom and I would go in to look at a house, and we would come out to the car and dad will have figured out something new on it. He has actually recorded his voice instead of the lady's. For instance, it could say "Left turn ahead" but it says "Turn left ya moron!" I laughed the whole way home.

Mom moment: We are eating at some chinese place and a guy comes up and asks us if we drive a blazer... Mom left her door wide open with her purse and my purse just sitting on the seat...

We went into a house that some hippies owned. They were really weird... I was met at the door by Bill Nye and then by the end of the showing, the wife was telling us how they keep one of the really old Scooby Doo vans out front because that is where she got pregnant with their son! Oh dear... what is the world coming to!
The good news... I found a place to stay! Yay!

That is one of the best posts I have ever read on a blog. Totally hilarious. Best of luck at school, Josie!
