Foo-ket and the blood

Who ever knew that going to a place so beautiful could be a barrier to saving other people's lives?

So yesterday there was a Blood Drive within the Engineering department. I really wanted to donate but wasn't sure if I could. So I called United Blood Services to see. Guess what the restriction was on me donating blood?... PHUKET!!! I told her that I had lived in China but also visited Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore.... (Another 5 minutes passed on the phone and she replies) Where did you go in Thailand? I told her Bangkok and Poo-ket... (Another 10 minutes passed on the phone) I chimed in... It is actually spelled P-H-U-K-E-T and she was like Oh well that is a high risk around and you can't donate for a year(I did say Foo ket not the other way I wanted to say it after being on the phone for so long)... So anyone that wants to get out of donating blood, go to Phuket, the most amazing place in the world! (My mouth is watering thinking about drinking fresh fruit drinks!)
