(I will update everyone on the softball team from now on)
4:30 pm- Call to see Odessa about what time I should go to the fields (5:45)
5:50 - Arrive at the fields to find only about 5 cars in the parking lot with the Jensen BMW no where to be found.
6:05-4 players are present
6:25- Odessa is frantically calling everyone to see where they are at.
6:35- Ump walks over to tell us that we have to forfeit.
We spent the next hour trying to get enough people rounded up for the 2nd game that was supposed to start at 7:30.
7:25- We realized that most people didn't have numbers so we made some up.
7:28- only 8 players and Odessa doesn't realize she has to have a batting lineup.
7:32- the game begins with only 9 players.
7:35- As I am standing on 3rd, Odessa asked me if I called Laura! (She was the one missing so we could have a full field. I vote dumb question Odessa, I can barely walk, let alone run the bases and talk on the phone :)
7:36- Jeremy scores the first run of the game! Wahoooo stud!
Top of the Third- Jer's only run is the only one on the scoreboard for both teams.
Bottom of the Third- score is 7-1 and Jer is telling me in the outfield how bad we are! Lol!
The rest of the game was pretty much boring except... We decided to kick butt one inning and score 11 runs.
The final score was 16-7. We rock. Thanks.
High lights from the Skinner relatives that played...
Shay biffed it at second and still managed an in the park grand slam!
Jer decided to slide at second... don't worry he has a war wound to show that he was safe.
Odessa decided not to play the last 2 innings since Bridger was sick. Good thing Cameron had 3 or 4 strikeouts in the last 2 innings!
So we did the splits. Hope we win the next one on Wednesday! We all forgot our cameras so there should be some pictures with the next post of Wednesday's game.
